Sony Voice Recorder ICD-R100
The 4 inch high, half inch thick, three ounce (including batteries) Sony ICD-R100 joins three other portable palm recorders (ICD-R100PC, ICD-55 and ICD35) that use IC (integrated circuit) chip memory instead of analog tape to record messages. Being completely electronic, more features are possible such as: instant random access to any message, up to 2.5 hours of recording time, outstanding sound clarity, seamless editing and playback speed control.
(Available in June 1999 - Estimated Selling Price: $219.95)
The ICD-R100PC has identical features, but also includes a PC link cable and Windows software so audio WAV files can be recorded, saved, sent via email or transcribed. Since the ICD-R100PC has bi-directional capability, WAV files can also be transferred back to the unit for playback.
(Also available in June 1999 - Estimated Selling Price: $499.99)
